Alain reports that it has started deploying a ship with a 19% stake in the port of Berbera! The Gibe ship, which arrived in Berbera, delivered 11,200 tons of goods to the Somaliland market. A ship, the Shebelle, arrived a week later.

Berbera is not doing bad. 3rd busies port in the Horn of Africa after Mombasa and Djibouti.

That’s a very low number for Djibouti, they’re normally similar to Mombasa figures, my guess is that the Ethiopia blockade might be having an effect. The Berbera number is good and we might see it improve if more ships divert from Djibouti. But if Dire Dawa is compromised then all bets are off!

Also Eritrea is completely dead with only 0 for Assab and 2 for Massawa.
