Ethiopia earns $13m in power export to sudan, djibouti

From these calculations, Ethiopia sells to Sudan 5 cents a Kilowatt, whereas to Djibouti they are selling it at 6.2 cents per Kilowatt.

Does it mean, the transmission lines to Sudan are closer to the Sudenese Border? i.e. cost of maintaining the lines is cheaper?

Anyways, this is a farcry of what Somalilanders pay for their electricity. Even if Somaliland imports at 10cents, and sells to the consumers at 20-25 cents, that is heaps of savings from the current levels.
