If they were going to push back the elections, they should have pushed back at least til May 2027, which is exactly 2 1/2 years after the Presidential elections and would’ve made the Parliamentary election as “midterm” election. The benefit would have been, to give the Gov’t enough time to get things done and also to spread the cost of elections.
