Somaliland Grand Designs / Real Estate

Couldn’t agree more. At least this is behind or part of his hotel/business centre downtown Hargeisa, so doesn’t matter so much. But buying out the likes of Hass and any profitable business in any field becomes the definition of oligarchy. Real Estate, Petroleum, Banking, Telecoms, Electricity, Hospitality, Xawala and there was word about getting into the fish industry!

What next? Aviation!

True. We need laws to stop these big businesses from hording everything.

The top 10 biggest businesses should be forced to not enter any new business sector, but they could invest and improve on their existing sectors i.e. Telco, Banking, Food etc.

If they want to invest lets say in Fishing, then it should be through shares where common people become co-investors.

That way, the wealth is shared and not concentrated in the hands of few men.

Here in Australia, we have an Investment bank which became known as “The Millionaire Factory” because it helped uplift so many investors into becoming millionaires themselves.

The moment the insurance industry lifts off, they will enter leaving the handful of pioneers in this field in the dust. As Somaliland opens up to international investors (which am hoping the US trip will facilitate) they will get true competition. Until then, they and their like will rule the roost.

We just don’t value views enough!

I agree. They are improving the design, I see the Windows are getting a little bigger than they normally were.

This is the third property I’ve seen of this company, and all are top notch. A step ahead of Sompoperty in terms of interior decoration and architecture (efficient use of space).

and this one

Another one under construction.

Masha Allah when this area gets roads and paving it will look incredible. Very close to the airport too!
