Isn’t the guy in the bottom left picture the guy who was named as Berbera airport director last year? Clearly the UAE is involved in both projects but still curious!
Interesting indeed. I wonder what the deal is with Berbera Airport and who do they come under?
I’ve always suspected there will be at least 1 UAE carrier landing there to compliment the logistics of the port. But apart from the runway and hangars which were completed a year ago, I don’t see much in the way of progress. Still, the president was confident enough to say it will be operational by September this year during his speech to parliament. Would he stick his neck out if something wasn’t in the offing?
