This is great initiative. We have too many business people and economists getting graduated without the industry and demand for it.
However, we have skilled labour shortages i.e. plumbers, electricians, mechanics, metal sheet workers, carpentry, builders etc. That is where Technical institutes shine and come in. I support this, as there is actually employment out there.

The Burao Technical Institute (BTI) is an educational institution located in Burco, Somaliland.
The school recently enrolled high number of students to train in automobile mechanics, machine tools and electricity skills, new departments are being established such as farming and smart agriculture.
The goal is to continue educating and empowering Somaliland’s youth, fostering a generation of engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and teachers who can contribute to innovation, infrastructure development, and community growth.
