True. I think It’s a Turkish company trying to replicate the apartment blocks they have been building super fast in Mogadishu.
Sadly, Somaliland has focused completely on commercial shops and offices and residential villas completely neglecting residential apartments blocks.
More apartments
We are excited to announce another construction project awarded to PCL. This time in the coastal city of Berbera, where the customer has asked us to build unique apartments near the city centre intended for renting. The design for the apartments consists of 6 blocks (2 will be built initially) each block consists of a ground floor and a separate entry to the first-floor apartment each consisting of two bedrooms, an open kitchen to the living room and a bathroom. This project is likely to attract attention due to its unique design where space is utilised in the area 30m x 34m. These apartments are ideal for city workers and tourists visiting Berbera, a city that suffers from short-term rents. Hopefully, this project will open doors for Pharo to build sustainable cost-effective projects and enhance job creation in Berbera. This area is benefiting from economic development due to DP World’s presence. We hope to collaborate with them to boost the economy, create jobs and improve the livelihoods of those living in the area.
