The soil is so fertile that it only needs few drops of water and boom.

Relaying on rainwater is a gamble for those farmers and a single season with no rain disappoints an otherwise committed farmers let alone drawing new farmers to the sector.

Therefore it is imperative, if we ever need farming to take off, to invest in dams and other water conservation methods. Every raining season we see our dryrivers flood to the seams and the next thing you know it is drought again. We need to stop this cycle.
