In Australia we have the preferential voting system where you select your choice of favourite candidates and in the end the favourite wins the race.
This would work really well for Somali elections.
Somalis use a very rudimentary election system which is actually at odds with their consensus based clan culture.
“First Past the Post” creates winners and losers and winner takes all. Whereas a preferential system creates multiple winners because the eventual winner win due to the support they receive from some of the losing candidates.
