Somalia enters constitutional crisis

Suldaanka,

Here is African union (AU) giving the “red card” to Mr. Cheeseman. So now, it seems that he was told off, in a consecutively manner by the US, by the EU, UK, by the UNSC.

And now even that sleeping office or that basic talking shop that is the AU’s peace and security said to him a firm no. Particularly in regards to his attempted unconstitutional extension of his already expired mandate.

Let’s see how he deal with this latest political reversal. Since, by the looks of it, he strike me as a kind of a hapless and headless chicken, pumping off to all four walls, in terms of running this way and then running that way.

Whilst for good measure, he keeps on mouthing off, along the way, some kind of inanities about how “African’s problems should have an African’s solutions”. Or some such gibberish stuff.

Here also, is the American general (Gen. Townsend) who is ahead of the US’s Africom talking about how Cheeseman action made it difficult for US’s counterinsurgency action to be implemented in Somalia’s Al-shabaab controlled territories.

This is a grand shift from the Defence Department. They now understand everything they have worked on for the past decade or more is at stake. Farmaajo is the weakest link and so they have determined to cut him off.

Farmaajo hired a Lobby group in Washington. Thank goodness it is a Bidden Administration, if this was a Trump world - it would have been very different.

“I think that the Somalis recognize that they’re not going to be able to sell their bill of goods to the administration, so why not start with Congress,” Nagy told Foreign Lobby Report. “I can assure you there’s a great deal of cynicism on the part of Somalia on the part of Congress.”

Comprehensive assistance? What is that suppose to mean? a Russian army coming to Mogadishu?

This comes after Sudan recently cancelled its agreement with Russia to establish a military base there.

This is interesting if true.

They railroaded the so called Dir Waqooyi.

This part is interesting though.

“In Heshiis ka gaadhaan Hanaanka wada hadalka Somaliland”

This is Puntland trying to be relevant in the Somalia/Somaliland talks.

It is interesting to note the 20 days between when the parliament first sits and when they will have presidential selections. That 20 days is essentially the horse trading season where they will start buying votes.
